Cincinnati’s very own German breakfast sausage
What is Goetta?
Goetta is a German breakfast sausage made with pork, beef, steel-cut oats, onions, and spices. It is unique to Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
Only made here in the midwest, Goetta is sacred! Brought to Cincinnati by German immigrants from the Hanover region back in the 1880’s, our Goetta is made with the same cuts of pork and beef used in our finest sausages.
Goetta is traditionally sliced into patties, browned in a non-stick skillet, and served with your other favorite breakfast items like eggs.
Grill Tip—Goetta Perfection!
Slice the Goetta roll into 3/4” slices. Place patties in a non-stick skillet. Medium heat. Cook thoroughly on one side, nice and crispy brown, flip, brown and serve. Goes great with eggs.
