Smoked Sausage, Prosciutto, and Jarlsberg Cheese Sandwich
Ingredients
4 Links—Queen City Sausage Smoked Sausage (Metts). Butterfly
8 OZ Sliced Jarlsberg Cheese
8 OZ Fresh Spinach
8 Thick Slices of favorite bread
½ Red Onion, sliced thin
4 OZ Prosciutto Ham
4 OZ Robert Rothschild, Cilantro Jalapeno mustard or favorite
3 OZ Butter
1 TBS Coarse ground pepper
Instructions
Medium skillet, medium-low heat. Add spinach to thoroughly soften. Add pepper. Remove and keep warm. Add 2 OZ butter and sausage links to lightly brown. Remove and keep warm. Add 4 pieces of bread to lightly toast and build sandwich on. Apply mustard evenly to bread in skillet. Add prosciutto ham to all 4 slices. Add Spinach, then smoked sausages, onions and cheese. Add the remaining 4 slices of bread. Add more butter to coat skillet if desired. Flip the sandwich to brown. Cover while browning. Serve immediately.
