Bratwurst Party Pot Stickers
Ingredients
1 PK 14 OZ Skinless Queen City Sausage Bratwurst. Diced
3 Cups/32 OZ Bag of sauerkraut. Drained
2 PK Nasoya 12 OZ Won-Ton wraps
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 TBS Sesame oil
2 TBS Soy sauce
4 TBS Olive oil for frying
1 TSP Kosher salt
2 TBS Fresh ginger. Grated
1 Medium carrot. Shredded
1 Bowl of water for sealing the wrap closed
Yields About 60 Won-tons
Instructions
Large bowl, mix: soy sauce, sesame oil, and egg. Add the bratwurst, ginger, carrot, onions, and sauerkraut. Mix thoroughly. Using the won-ton wraps, add a TSP of the batter to each. Keep the assembly area dry. Seal all won-ton edges with water applied by index finger. Pinch the edges to seal. Place the finished won-tons on a baking sheet to hold. Cover with foil. Use a large, non-stick skillet, medium heat. Add ½ of the olive oil. Add the won-tons to the heated skillet. Allow the bottoms to brown for 2 minutes or so.. Add ¼ cup of water to skillet to steam the won-tons. Cover the skillet. Allow about 4 minutes. Remove the won-tons. Repeat. Ready to serve or freeze for later. Use your favorite dipping sauce. We used soy sauce.
