Maple Pecan Roasted Acorn Squash with Smoked Sausage

Ingredients

—1 PK Queen City Sausage-Smoked Sausage links

—2 Acorn squash, cut in half, scooped and seeded

—4 TBLS Pure maple syrup (honey or brown sugar)

—2 TBLS Butter

—1/4 Cup Pecans (chopped optional)

Directions

  1. Place the squash halves on a baking sheet, cut sides up

  2. Add the butter and maple syrup equally to both squash pieces

  3. Bake in a preheated oven, 400F

  4. Once the squash is baked, remove and add the sausages to the oven on a low broil for about 5-7 minutes.  Serve sausages as dippers in the butter/syrup and cut up the squash to serve with the sausages
