Puff Pastry Smoked Sausage Cups

Something magical happens when you add puff pastry to sausage and finish it off with just the right sweetness.

Ingredients

—4 Links: Queen City Sausage-Smoked Sausage or QCS favorite

—1 Sheet: Pepperidge Farms Puff Pastry.  Thawed

—3 TBLS Dam Jam Pineapple Habanero Jam.  Local Cincinnati brand

—1.5 TBLS Dijon mustard

—1/4 Cup Craisins

—1 TSP Coarse ground pepper

—Parsley

—Flour for dusting

Directions

  1. Place the puff pastry on a flour dusted counter and cut into 12 sections

  2. Use a muffin pan and spray with olive oil

  3. Add the puff pastry squares to the muffin pan

  4. Dice the sausage links

  5. Take the sausage pieces, mustard, jam, Craisins, pepper, and add to a bowl and mix well

  6. Add the mixture to each of the puff pastry squares

  7. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 400 degrees F, for about 15 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown
