Smoked Sausage Mac & Cheese Egg Rolls

Ingredients

—4 Links, Queen City Sausage Smoked Sausage or favorite

—1 Box Mac & Cheese

—1 Cup Shredded mozzarella cheese

—1 Cup Shredded cheddar cheese

—1 TSP Ground black pepper

—1 PK Egg roll wrappers

—Vegetable oil for frying

Directions

  1. Take the sausage links and slice lengthwise into 4 quarters each

  2. Prepare the Mac & Cheese according to box instructions.

  3. Remove the Mac & Cheese from the heat once cooked.  Drain and add back into pot.  Add the mozzarella and cheddar and blend throughly.  Let sit for 12 minutes to cool slightly

  4. On a clean surface, place the egg wrapper in a diamond shape.  Add a piece of sausage lengthwise.  Now add 1 full TBLS of Mac & Cheese mixture.  Moisten all edges of the wrap with water.  Fold up from the bottom, close the sides, and roll closed, like a burrito of sorts

  5. In a large skillet, add the oil, medium heat, about 1” deep.  Once the oil bubbles slightly add the egg rolls and fry to golden brown.  About two minutes per side

  6. Place completed fried rolls on a paper towel/plate

  7. Serve with your favorite sauce on the side
