HOT OR COLD SPRING PASTA SALAD

Ingredients

—1LB. Pasta shells

—4 Links Queen City Sausage-Beef Smoked Sausage.  Diced

—6 OZ Portobello mushrooms. Diced (Optional)

—3 OZ Bacon crumbles

—3 OZ Private Selection Basil Pesto, or favorite

—4 OZ Peas

—4 OZ Asparagus.  Sliced

—2 OZ Finely chopped onions

—4 Cloves of garlic.  Diced

—2 TBLS Olive oil

—1 TBLS Coarse ground pepper

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, medium-low heat, add the olive oil, sausage, and bacon.  Brown throughly

  2. Cook the pasta shells according to package

  3. In a separate bowl, combine the peas, mushrooms, asparagus, onions, garlic, and pepper and add to the sausages half way through the browning process

  4. Once the skillet contents are cooked, add the basil pesto and blend in quickly

  5. Place the cooked pastas in a serving dish and quickly add the skillet contents and blend
