Ingredients

—6 OZ Queen City Sausage Cottage Ham.  Sliced very thin

—12 OZ Roll Purnell’s Old Folk’s Pork sausage or favorite

—3 Cups Whole milk

—3 TBLS Butter

—1/4 Cup All-purpose flour

—Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Large, deep skillet.  Medium-high heat.  Add the sausage to brown and crumble

  2. Remove the cooked sausage crumbles, leaving the drippings

  3. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add butter until melted.  Stir in flour until smooth.  Cook until light brown.

  4. Gradually stir in milk.  Cook until thickened.  Add in cooked sausage.  Reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.  Add more milk if gravy becomes too thick

  5. Just before serving, add the cottage ham slices.  The key is to not over cook the cottage ham for full flavor

  6. Follow package instructions for the biscuits

  7. Time the gravy to the biscuits exiting the oven

  8. Serve immediately and enjoy
