Smoked Cottage Ham Bruschetta

Simplicity takes center stage with this highly visual, and smoky deliciousness.

Ingredients

—10 OZ Queen City Sausage Smoked Cottage Ham (Butt).  Sliced super thin

—1 Baguette. Sliced

—1 Cup Gruyère cheese.  Shredded

—2 Cups portobello mushrooms.  Sliced thin

—2 Cloves garlic.  Minced

—2 OZ Olive oil

—Fresh thyme leaves for garnish

—Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Add the sliced bread to a baking sheet.  Broil on low for about 3 minutes, or bake at 375 degrees F for about 10 minutes

  2. In a non-stick skillet, medium-low heat, add the olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and mushrooms.  Cook until mushrooms are tender

  3. Assemble the bruschetta: Top the bread slices with the cheese, cottage ham, and mushrooms.  Place on a baking sheet

  4. Bake at 375 degrees F for about 10 minutes

  5. Once baked, sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves and serve
